Mid-Century Retro Kitchen

Specializing in Mid-Century Modern is a source of pride for us. So when we meet a client that wants to go full mid-century retro we get pretty excited. This modern home was designed by architect Bradley Walters who has a keen eye for detail, which we very much appreciate. The facade of the cabinets is a marine grade rotary cut fir. The fronts have exposed plywood edges and notched hand pulls. This grade of plywood is not intended to be exposed and seen so there are special considerations made to make sure that we purchased enough sheets to cull out the unusable one. The rotary cut fir plywood also drinks up the finish like crazy. To get an even build we needed to put 5 heavy coats of finish down instead of our typical 3.
